Step 1: Bill and roof review The process begins with your electricity bill, sanctioned load, roof photos and usage pattern. This helps estimate system size before the site visit. Step 2: Site survey The survey checks shade, structure, roof access, cable route, inverter location, earthing, waterproofing risk and maintenance space. Step 3: Proposal and approval path The quote should explain components, capacity, generation assumptions, warranty, subsidy path if applicable, and net-metering responsibilities. Step 4: Installation Technicians install mounting structure, modules, inverter, cabling, earthing, AC/DC protection and monitoring. Work quality matters because solar is a long-life asset. Step 5: Inspection and commissioning For grid-connected systems, utility approval and commissioning steps must be completed. The exact process can vary with current rules and consumer category.
